Australia's Centrex eyes worst day in nearly 2 yrs on discounted placement

** Shares of Centrex Ltd  CXM.AX  tumbled as much as 21.4%
to A$0.165
    ** Co set for worst trading session since June 19 last year,
if losses hold
    ** Mineral resource co says it got firm commitments to raise
A$8 mln ($6.05 mln) through placement of 51.7 million shares

    ** The issue price of A$0.14 per share represents a 33%
discount to the close price on Friday after which the share went
into a trading halt 
    ** 6.8 mln shares have changed hands, compared with the
30-day average of 2 mln shares

last close
