Centrica appoints Non-Executive Director

Centrica is pleased to announce the appointment of Alessandra Pasini as a
Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect. Alessandra will
also become a member of the Company's Audit and Risk Committee and Nominations
Committee.

Kevin O'Byrne, Chair of Centrica, said: "I look forward to welcoming
Alessandra to the Board. Alessandra brings deep relevant industry experience
with a strong blend of financial expertise and strategic leadership in energy
infrastructure and sustainability".
