CGN New Energy hits 11-mth peak on report parent to revive take-private plan

** Shares of Chinese power plant operator CGN New Energy
Holdings Co Ltd  1811.HK  rise 4.8% to HK$2.41, their highest
since May 31, 2023
    ** CGN New Energy's parent is said to revive its plan of
taking the Hong Kong-listed firm private after abandoning a
previous plan more than three years ago, Bloomberg reported,
citing people familiar with the matter 
    ** CGN New Energy did not immediately responded to a
Reuters' email for comment 
    ** Hang Seng Composite Index tracking utilities  .HSCIU 
eases 1% and Hang Seng Index  .HSI  falls 1.3%
    ** Stock up 14.4% YTD
