U.S. stocks were modestly lower on Tuesday as investors moved to the sidelines
ahead of the Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting, while the impact of
weekend attacks on Saudi Arabia's biggest oil refinery faded. .N

27,033.04. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.06% at 2,996.23 and the Nasdaq
Composite .IXIC was up 0.04% at 8,156.917.
