U.S. stocks were near record levels on Tuesday, following four straight sessions
of gains, as investor confidence in the U.S. economy was reinforced following
upbeat housing and manufacturing data. .N
At 1346 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.18% at
28,287.5. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.10% at 3,194.67 and the Nasdaq Composite
.IXIC was up 0.11% at 8,824.194.
