Household insectiside maker Cheerwin soars on pet industry investment

** Hong Kong-listed shares of Chinese household insecticides
and pet care products producer Cheerwin Group Ltd  6601.HK  jump
8.4% to HK$4.24, biggest daily gain since debut on March 10
    ** Guangdong, China-based firm says its unit has entered
into a strategic cooperation and investment agreement with
Shandong Shuaike Pet Product Co Ltd to deepen its presence in

    ** Says the firms will carry out strategic cooperation in
food research and development, procurement, production, supply
chain and capital cooperation 
    ** Stock hits highest since Sept. 30, set for third straight
session of gains

0.5% and the Hang Seng consumer goods and services index
 .HSCGSI  gains 0.7%
    ** The Hang Seng Composite Index  .HSCI  edges down 0.02%
and the benchmark index  .HSI  down 0.1%%
