July 31 (Reuters) - A contract worker died on Thursday following an incident at Cheniere's LNG.N Sabine Pass liquefaction plant in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, the company said in a statement on Friday.
The incident occurred at about 3:15 p.m. on Thursday and "the contractor passed away after being transported to Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth Hospital in nearby Beaumont, Texas," the company said.
An investigation into the cause of the incident was underway, Cheniere added. The company did not identify the contract worker or provide details about the incident.
