** Chimerix Inc's shares CMRX.O rise 22% to $2.22 after
the company gets contract worth up to $25.3 million from
Canada's government for its smallpox drug Tembexa urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nL4N2YB2FT
** Canada's order comes a day after the company got an order
worth $9.3 million for the drug urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nL4N2YA2BV
** More than 3,200 cases of monkeypox and one death have
been reported in the last six weeks from 48 countries where it
does not usually spread, as per WHO
** All five brokerages covering CMRX rate the stock "buy" or
higher; their median PT is $8
** Including session gains, stock down 64% YTD
