** Brokerage Cowen sees revenue oppurtunities for smallpox
vaccine and drugmakers in the European Union
    ** Says vaccines such as Bavarian Nordic's  BAVA.CO  Jynneos
and Emergent BioSolutions'  EBS.N  ACAM2000 have significant
opportunity if EU countries decide to create and maintain a
large stockpile of the vaccines
    ** Brokerage also anticipates some EU procurement of
Chimerix's  CMRX.O  smallpox drug Tembexa and SIGA Technologies'
 SIGA.O  TPOXX, but estimates that the spend on such purchases
would be much smaller than on the vaccines
    ** On Wednesday, the WHO said it had so far received reports
of more than 550 confirmed cases of the viral disease from 30

    ** Widespread monkeypox outbreak is unlikely and can be
contained with existing vaccines/drugs and in-place
manufacturing capacity - Cowen
    ** SIGA has gained ~71% YTD, while EBS, CMRX have lost ~27%
