morning trade, set to extend a rally for a third straight

** The U.S. on Sunday identified its third suspected case of
monkeypox, a viral infection that is similar to smallpox but

** The WHO on Saturday said it expects to identify more
cases of monkeypox as it expands surveillance in countries where

** GeoVax Labs GOVX.O jumps 24%, while others such as
Emergent BioSolutions EBS.N , Chimerix CMRX.O and Tonix
Pharmaceuticals TNXP.O climb 1%-5%
** EBS, which is acquiring smallpox drug Tembexa from CMRX,
now has the widest product line to combat a monkeypox or
smallpox outbreak in the U.S. and worldwide, says Robert
Wasserman, analyst at brokerage Benchmark Company
** CMRX could benefit if Tembexa gets a conditional approval
for monkeypox and get an order before they close the sale, or if
the new orders are big enough for the co to get milestone and
royalty payments from EBS, Cowen and Co analyst Joseph Thome
tells Reuters
** SIGA Technologies SIGA.O down 8% after soaring 67% over
the last two sessions
