23andMe's unit to offer GLP-1 medication through weight loss program, shares rise

** Shares of genetic testing firm 23andMe  ME.O  rise 6.9%
to 34 cents premarket
    ** Co's unit, Lemonaid Health, is now offering Ozempic,
Wegovy and compounded semaglutide through a weight-loss program
on its telehealth platform
   ** Semaglutide is the active ingredient in Novo Nordisk's
 NOVOb.CO  popular weight-loss and diabetes drugs, Wegovy and
Ozempic
    ** ME says the membership is $49 per month, with medication
charged separately starting at $299 a month for compounded
semaglutide 
     ** If prescribed, Lemonaid Health patients will now have
access to once-weekly injectable GLP-1 medication offerings
through an accessible monthly membership subscription that
includes clinician consultations and a GLP-1 prescription- ME
    ** Up to last close, stock was down 64.7% YTD
