Table: Japan nuclear operations: Kansai shuts Mihama No.3 for maintenance

TOKYO, Oct 25 (Reuters) -
Kansai Electric Power 9503.T has shut the No. 3 reactor at
its Mihama nuclear power station in western Japan for scheduled
maintenance, a company spokesperson said on Wednesday.

The 826-megawatt (MW) reactor was shut for turnaround, with
a plan to restart in mid-January, the spokesperson said.
With the shutdown, Japan has 9 operating reactors with a
total capacity of 8,732 MW.
Many companies are still going through a relicensing process
to comply with stricter safety standards imposed after the 2011
Fukushima disaster. The companies had 54 operational reactors
before the disaster.
