** Merck MRK.N to acquire Cidara Therapeutics CDTX.O in a nearly $9.2 billion deal; gaining access to an experimental drug for flu prevention

** Under the terms, MRK will pay $221.50/shr in cash for CDTX, a premium of 108.9% to its last closing price of $105.99

** As of last close, CDTX was up 294% YTD
