Wall Street's main indexes regained some ground on Thursday, a
day after the Federal Reserve's projections of
fewer-than-expected interest rate cuts and higher inflation next
year wrong-footed some investors and pummeled U.S. stocks.  .N 
    
At  10:30 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up
0.33% at 42,465.99. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.34% at 5,892.37,
and the Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.30% at 19,451.09.
