APPOINTMENT of SIAN EVANS AS deputy director general

The Panel announces that Sian Evans, currently Head of UK M&A at
Citigroup, has been appointed as a Deputy Director General, and will join the
Executive in the early summer.

Sian Evans is currently Head of UK M&A at Citigroup. She has acted for
clients across a wide range of sectors, advising on takeovers, bid defences,
mergers and private company transactions.

Sian started her career in investment banking in 2000 at Citigroup. She
previously qualified as a chartered accountant at Deloitte.
