** Shares of Australia's Clarity Pharmaceuticals CU6.AX climb as much as 12.4% to A$4.620, highest since January 24

** Clinical radio-pharmaceutical co says it completed placement of 48.5 million new shares for A$203 million ($133.47 mln

** Co says proceeds will help fund the completion of a number of high-value pivotal clinical trials and advancement of key milestones in its therapeutic and diagnostic pipeline, among others

** Placement at an issue price of A$4.20 per share, a 2.2% premium to last close

** Stock last up 5.4%, taking YTD gains to 3.8%
