Clarus rises after top shareholder proposes to buy unit

** Outdoor equipment and lifestyle products maker Clarus
Corp's shares  CLAR.O  up 4.5% at $7.23 premarket
    ** Top shareholder Warren B. Kanders on Sept 15 proposed to
buy CLAR's Precision Sports business for about $160 mln 
    ** Precision Sports segment includes Sierra and Barnes,
which markets bullets and ammunition for both rifles and pistols
    ** Kanders held 6.35 mln shares of CLAR as of Sept 15 
    ** Stock down 11.73% YTD, as of last close
