MILAN, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Total advertising spending in
Italy was up 2.7% in November, a 15.2% increase in the first 11
months of last year, data from research firm Nielsen showed on
Thursday.
TV advertising fell 3.2% in November, while growing 17.6%
throughout the year.
"Growth for the three months was 4.7%, slowly returning to a
long-term positive line," Nielsen managing director Alberto Dal
Sasso said in a statement. "Even compared to 2019 we are up 0.9%
which - with one month to the end of the year - should confirm
the trend seen so far".
He struck a note of caution, however, on the trend going
forward as higher inflation pressures worry businesses.
