** Shares of cryptocurrency and blockchain-related companies gain premarket as bitcoin touches record high

** Bitcoin BTC=, the world's largest cryptocurrency, trades over levels of $1,11,000 for the first time and was last up nearly 1%; ether ETH= up 4.5%

** Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global COIN.O rises 2.8%; miners Riot Platforms RIOT.O, MARA Holdings MARA.O gain 3.3% and 4.6%, respectively, while U.S.-listed shares of Hut 8 HUT.O up 3.7%

** Bitcoin miner CleanSpark CLSK.O jumps 5%, while bitcoin bull Strategy MSTR.O gains 1.7%

** iShares Bitcoin Trust IBIT.O rises 1.9% and ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF BITO.P advances 2%

** Bitcoin has gained more than 18% so far in 2025
