** Shares of drug developer Clearside Biomedical Inc
 CLSD.O  rise 9.2% to $1.53 before the bell
    ** Company reports positive data from early-to-mid-stage
trial of eye disorder drug CLS-AX in treating wet age-related
macular degeneration (wet AMD) in patients
    ** Wet AMD is a chronic eye disorder causing blurred vision
or a blind spot in one's visual field
    ** CLS-AX being tested in 4 trial groups with 27 wet
AMD patients was well tolerated and demonstrated a positive
safety profile across all timepoints and doses, company says 
    ** CLSD expects to post data from extension study with
remaining 8 patients in Q1 2023
    ** Company's shares down ~49% YTD, as of Tuesday's close
