CME says platform facing technical, latency issues; conducting essential maintenance (updated)

Adds CME's latest status update in paragraph 2

May 7 (Reuters) - CME Group, the world's largest derivatives marketplace, said on Thursday it was investigating technical and latency issues that were affecting its platform's responsiveness.

As a part of its investigation, CME CME.O said it will be conducting essential maintenance at 9:30 p.m. CDT (0230 GMT) and all users will be disconnected during this period.
