Nov 30(Reuters) - Coal Energy SA CLEP.WA :
* Said on Friday that Q1 2016 ending on Sept. 30 revenue was
$8.0 million versus $6.1 million a year ago
* Q1 2016 operating profit was $2.7 million versus loss of
$2.3 million a year ago
* Q1 2016 net loss was $584,000 versus loss of $4.0 million
zlotys year ago
* Q1 positive EBITDA of $3.8 million versus negative EBITDA
of $4.3 million in Q4 2015
* Q1 output of thermal and coking coal reached 115.8
thousand tonnes, up 118.9 percent quarter on quarter (q-o-q),
while waste processing reached 24.4 thousand tonnes, up 34.8
percent q-o-q
* The situation on the Ukrainian market slightly improved as
output of thermal coals increased and supplies of coal from
Donbas were arranged
* As of the end of Sept. most of the thermal power plants
were provided with sufficient fuel reserves (around 1.7 million
tonnes) however the planned amount of coal on warehouses enough
for the heating season is estimated around 2.8 million tonnes
* Thus successful completion of the coming heating season is
still dependent on sustainable supplies of coal both from
domestic and foreign markets
