April 22 (Reuters) - Australia's Cochlear COH.AX lowered on Wednesday its earnings outlook for fiscal year 2026, citing uncertainty and weaker demand linked to the Middle East conflict, sending shares of the hearing implant manufacturer 38.6% lower.
The company now expects its underlying net profit for fiscal 2026 to be in the range of A$290 million to A$330 million ($207.61 million - $236.25 million), a sharp drop from its previous forecast of A$435 million - A$460 million.
