Australia-based Comet Resources hits 2-1/2-year high on strong graphite test results

** Shares of Comet Resources Ltd  CRL.AX  jump as much as
44% to A$0.036, their highest since February 2019
    ** Metal explorer's stock posts its biggest intraday pct
gain since June 2020

 Springdale Graphite Project samples came out strong in tests
for use in making of lithium-ion battery anodes
    ** The samples from Western Australia project also performed
well in jet milled tests, raising potential for premium pricing
in the market  
    ** About 91.3 mln shares change hands, almost 34x the 30-day
average in their busiest ever trading day 
    ** CRL had been on a trading halt since Sept. 16
    ** Stock up 25% this year, as of last close on Sept. 15
