Jefferies sees increase rate in inpatient reimbursement as positive for hospital operators

** Jefferies sees the proposed rate increases for inpatient
surgeries as positive for hospital operators HCA Healthcare
 HCA.N , Tenet Healthcare  THC.N  and Community Health Systems
 CYH.N  
    ** U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released on
Wednesday its proposed rule for FY2025 medicare reimbursement,
under which it pays acute care hospitals for inpatient stays
    ** The agency looks to increase Medicare rates for inpatient
hospital services by 2.6% for FY25 vs 3.1% this year 
    ** Jefferies says the proposed rates are in line with its
expectations and would lay "a solid foundation" for hospitals to
"maintain or improve current margin profiles"
   ** Including session moves, HCA up 20%, HTC up 32.9% and CYH
down 3.3% YTD
