Compagnie des Alpes' shares rise as busy slopes drive solid H1 results

** French leisure resort operator Compagnie des Alpes CDAF.PA rises 3% after it posted half-year results in line with analyst expectations and confirmed accelerating booking activity for its Parc Astérix amusement park

** H1 EBITDA rose 5% year-on-year to €328 million ($380 million), and the company confirmed its FY target of nearly 10% core earnings growth

** Analysts highlight solid FCF generation of €266 million for the period

** Brokerage TP Icap Midcap notes CEO Dominique Thillaud confirmed strong April activity in alpine ski resorts and a promising season start at Parc Astérix, with booking rates for coming weeks picking up strongly as weather conditions improve

** The broker raises its rating to "buy" from "hold" and maintains a PT of €28.5, citing a potential upside of more than 30% after a near 20% share price drop since its previous downgrade
