July 22 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 2000 GMT on Tuesday:

** Senator Elizabeth Warren has warned BNY BK.N that its reported interest in a merger with Northern Trust NTRS.O could violate federal banking laws, saying any potential deal between the two large custody banks raises antitrust concerns. nL6N3TJ0LT

** U.S. regional lender Synovus Financial SNV.N is exploring options including a potential merger after drawing takeover interest, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter. nL4N3TJ1KU

** London-based buyout firm CapVest Partners is in talks to acquire a majority stake in German drugmaker Stada Arzneimittel, Bloomberg News reported. nL4N3TJ1HG

** Zara founder Amancio Ortega's investment vehicle Pontegadea Inversiones has agreed to acquire a 49% stake in PD Ports from Brookfield Asset Management BAM.TO, the British ports and logistics company said. nL4N3TJ1I3

** Italian asset manager Azimut AZMT.MI said it had signed a binding accord to buy North Square Investments (NSI) in a cash-and-share deal giving the U.S. peer an enterprise value of $165 million. nL8N3TJ1HZ

** Universal Music Group UMG.AS unit Virgin Music Group's $775 million acquisition of Downtown Music may hinder competition and remove an important competitor, EU antitrust regulators warned on Tuesday, a move which may require concessions from the world's largest music company. nL8N3TJ1L1

** UniCredit CRDI.MI said it was withdrawing its 14.6 billion euro ($17 billion) all-share bid for Banco BPM BAMI.MI. nL8N3TJ1VH

** Brazilian state development bank BNDES acquired a roughly 20% stake in fertilizer and bio-inputs producer Santa Clara for 114 million reais ($20.5 million), the bank said in a statement. nL1N3TI0X2

** Apple  supplier Goertek Inc <002241.SZ> said it plans to buy two units of Hong Kong's Luen Fung Commercial Holdings for about combined HK$10.4 billion ($1.32 billion).

** Brazilian software company Totvs  has agreed to buy StoneCo's  Linx unit in a deal worth 3.05 billion reais ($547.90 million), it said, adding that it expects the move to strengthen its position in the retail segment. nL1N3TJ0A1

** French telecom operator Orange  has offered to buy the 50% it does not own in its Spanish unit MasOrange for 4 billion euros ($4.68 billion), Spanish news website El Confidencial reported, citing unidentified sources. nL8N3TJ0F6

** Ibex Investment Holdings Ltd., formerly known as Steinhoff International, sold its entire 28% stake in South Africa's clothing retailer Pepkor  for $1.5 billion via an accelerated book-building process. nL1N3TJ07E

** Food catering firm Compass  has agreed to buy European premium food services business Vermaat Groep for about 1.5 billion euros ($1.75 billion) including debt, it said, marking its largest-ever deal. nL4N3TJ0D0

** French pharmaceuticals company Sanofi  said it would acquire British private biotechnology firm Vicebio for a total of $1.15 billion, expanding its respiratory vaccine portfolio. nL1N3TJ03W

** IQ-EQ, a global investor services company backed by European private equity firm Astorg, said it is acquiring Singapore-based Gordian Capital - a deal it said would make it the leading funds platform business in Asia Pacific. nL1N3TJ01V

** Australia's Insignia Financial Ltd  said it has agreed to an all-cash takeover offer from investment manager CC Capital, valuing the wealth management firm's equity at A$3.3 billion ($2.15 billion). nL4N3TI1KV

** "South Park," the animated comedy featuring foul-mouthed children, has reached a $1.5 billion streaming deal with Paramount PARA.O, the LA Times reported on Monday. nL4N3TJ07I
