COMPASS GROUP PLC 
 
Purchase of own shares 
 
Compass Group PLC announces that on 21 July 2015 it purchased 218,476 ordinary
shares of 10 5/8 pence each at a price of 1120.6800 pence per share through
Morgan Stanley International plc. 
 
Compass Group PLC intends to hold the purchased ordinary shares in treasury. 
 
Following the above transaction, Compass Group PLC holds 5,606,716 of its
ordinary shares in treasury and has 1,651,170,666 ordinary shares in issue
(excluding treasury shares).
