July 22 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.3%.
* BP: Oil tanker Talara, chartered by BP BP.L, has left the Vadinar port of newly sanctioned Indian refiner Nayara Energy without loading diesel as planned, according to five industry sources and shipping data on LSEG.
* SHELL: Shell SHEL.L and other leading energy groups have abandoned a six-year-long attempt to define a net zero emissions strategy after being told that such a standard would require them to stop developing new oil and gas fields, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.
* ASTRAZENECA: AstraZeneca AZN.L plans to spend $50 billion to expand manufacturing and research capabilities in the U.S. by 2030, it said on Monday.
* BP: Elliott Investment Management on Monday called on BP's BP.L new chairman Albert Manifold to "urgently address BP's shortcomings".
* LINDSEY OIL REFINERY: Lindsey oil refinery will close down, Energy Minister Michael Shanks said in a statement on Monday.
* CHATGPT: Britain and OpenAI have signed a new strategic partnership to deepen collaboration on AI security research and explore investing in British AI infrastructure, such as data centres, the government said on Monday.
* FINANCE: Britain said on Monday that it had secured a 2 billion pound ($2.70 billion) investment into the country's financial services sector from Shinhan Financial Group CO Ltd 055550.KS.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices declined, gold prices climbed, and most-traded metals contracts on the Shanghai Futures Exchange rose on Tuesday.
