July 22 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.2%.
* COMPASS: Compass Group CPG.L agreed to buy Vermaat Groep for about 1.5 billion euros ($1.75 billion) including debt, the firm said, as it ramps up acquisitions after a strong quarter.
* SIZEWELL C NUCLEAR PLANT: Britain gave the final go-ahead for the 38 billion pound ($51 billion) Sizewell C nuclear plant in eastern England after it secured investment from British and international investors including Canadian pension fund La Caisse.
* KIER: Kier Group KIE.L named insider Stuart Togwell as its new chief executive officer to succeed Andrew Davies, and forecast annual revenue and profit to be in line with its expectations.
* EVOKE: Evoke EVOK.L reported a 5% year-on-year rise in second-quarter revenue, driven by growth in its core international markets and tight cost control.
* GREENCORE: Greencore GNC.L raised its annual profit expectations, driven by cost cuts and strong demand for its products during the summer, despite uncertainties in the broader macroeconomic environment.
* BORROWING: Britain borrowed more than expected in June as high inflation pushed up the government's debt costs.
* BP: Oil tanker Talara, chartered by BP BP.L, has left the Vadinar port of newly sanctioned Indian refiner Nayara Energy without loading diesel as planned, according to five industry sources and shipping data on LSEG.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices declined, gold prices climbed, and most-traded metals contracts on the Shanghai Futures Exchange rose on Tuesday.
