** Shares of minerals producer Compass Minerals
International Inc  CMP.N  rise ~0.5% to $41.21 after market
    ** Co posts adjusted Q4 profit of 1 cent per share vs a loss
of 14 cents per share a year earlier 
    ** Sales in Q4 rose to $249.4 mln vs $211.7 mln last year 
    ** CMP says short-term performance was impacted by ongoing
inflationary pressures and sulfate of potash production
challenges
    ** As of last close, shares down 19.7% YTD
