Brief: Componenta to merge Dutch foundries, about 60 employees to be affected

July 18 (Reuters) - Componenta Corp  CTH1V.HE : 
    * Plans to merge the Heerlen foundry and the Weert foundry 
in the Netherlands 
    * All of Componenta's functions located in Netherlands would 
be centralized at Weert Business Unit 
    * Heerlen production facility would be closed down by end of 
2017 
    * Cost savings from planned measure are estimated at about 5 
million euros ($5.5 million) annually  
    * Cost savings would be achieved gradually by end of year 
2017 
    * Planned centralization measure would affect about 60 
employees. 
    * One-time costs are estimated to be about 6 million euros 
    * Statutory negotiations in connection with plan began on 
July 18 2016.
