Continental plans up to 1,500 additional job cuts, source says

BERLIN, Nov 24 (Reuters) - Germany's Continental CONG.DE plans up to 1,500 additional job cuts at its ContiTech rubber and plastics division, a works council source said on Monday.

The company had previously announced plans to save 150 million euros ($173.16 million) annually from 2028 at ContiTech, which it plans to sell next year under a far-reaching overhaul to focus the group solely on its core tyres business.

"Previous measures are no longer sufficient," the company said of the planned cost-saving measures.
