SOFIA, July 17 (Reuters) - Bulgaria has picked a consortium
comprising asset manager Meridiam and the operator of Munich
Airport to run and operate Sofia Airport, the Balkan country's
main air transport hub, the transport minister said on
Wednesday.
Four other bidders, including a consortium led by France's
Aeroports de Paris (ADP) ADP.PA which offered the highest
concession fee, competed in the tender for a 35-year concession.

Transport Minister Rosen Zheliazkov said a special
commission at the transport ministry had evaluated the bids and
that a contract with the winner should be signed within 15 days.
