U.S. stocks were slightly lower on Wednesday as a steep fall in crude oil prices
hit energy shares, more than offseting gains in technology and bank stocks. .N 
    At 01:12 PM ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.16
percent at 25,588.15. The S&P 500  .SPX  was unchanged at 2,858.39 and the
Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.05 percent at 7,887.517.
