Corero US regional service provider customer contract win
Corero Network Security plc (AIM: CNS), the AIM listed network security company, is pleased to announce that its SmartWall Threat Defense System ("SmartWall") technology has been selected by a leading US regional service provider. 
The $0.3 million order follows a successful proof of concept trial. Corero will be delivering real-time DDoS detection and mitigation for the provider's transit and peering connections. The solution comprises multiple Corero SmartWall products, with supporting SecureWatch services for one year.
The customer is a US regional service provider with leadership fiber network capacity serving carrier, enterprise and data centre customers.
Corero's target market for its scalable SmartWall solution includes service providers and hosting providers, whose businesses are seeing strong growth from increased Internet connectivity and Cloud infrastructure demands from their customers. This in turn expands the business opportunity for offering DDoS protection services to their growing customer base.
