Brazil's Cosan shrinks Q2 net loss, announces governance shifts SAO PAULO, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Brazilian conglomerate Cosan CSAN3.SA on Friday posted a 66% decline in its second-quarter net loss, while also announcing major shifts to its governance and a delisting of the firm's American Depositary Shares.
Cosan reported a net loss of 320 million reais ($61.4 million) for the April-June period, narrower than a loss of 946 million reais in the same period in 2025.
The company attributed the improved results to lower interest expenses on net debt and the optimization of general and administrative expenses.
Cosan also announced in a securities filing the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Rafael Bergman and legal chief Maria Rita de Carvalho Drummond, effective on September 1.
Cosan's board said Jose Cezario Menezes de Barros Sobrinho would be the new CFO, and adding that its legal department would now report to the financial head.
The firm also said it would voluntarily delist its American shares from the New York Stock Exchange.
Cosan's portfolio includes companies such as Raizen RAIZ4.SA, Rumo RAIL3.SA, Compass PASS3.SA, Moove and Radar.
