SAO PAULO, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Raizen RAIZ4.SA, one of the world's top sugar makers, has locked in prices for about half of the sugar volume it expects to produce in the 2026/27 crop, the firm's investor relations director Phillipe Casale said in an earnings call on Friday.
• The Brazilian firm has so far secured prices of 114 real cents ($0.2110) per pound, Casale said.
• For the 2025/26 crop year, prices for almost the entire company's sugar production are set at 111 real cents per pound, he added.
• Raizen sees its 2025/26 sugarcane crushing closer to the lower end of its 72-75 million metric tons outlook due to weather issues, according to him.
• The company sees potential productivity gains next crop year, helped by replanting in areas affected by wildfires last year and more favorable weather, the director said.
• Executives also noted during the call that the firm's divestment program has not yet been completed, as further developments are expected to reduce net debt.
• Raizen posted a net loss of 2.3 billion reais ($425.6 million) in the second quarter of the 2025/26 crop.
