** Food company Cuisine Solutions, which makes egg bites for Starbucks SBUX.O and sous vide grass-fed beef sirloin for Costco COST.O, has hired investment banks to explore a sale next year that could value the private, family-owned company at over $2 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.

** French luxury group Kering PRTP.PA will buy family-owned jewellry producer Raselli Franco Group, it said on Thursday, announcing an initial 115 million euro ($134.76 million) investment into the business.

** Global law firm Hogan Lovells and New York-based Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft have agreed to merge, the firms said on Thursday, creating a mega-firm with 3,100 lawyers and a combined $3.6 billion in annual revenue.
