KYIV, March 23 (Reuters) - Forward export prices for Ukraine's 2026 corn harvest are being quoted at around $210 per metric ton CPT Black Sea ports, compared with the current price of $212–215 CPT, Ukrainian brokerage company Spike Brokers said over the weekend.
Ukraine is a global major corn grower and exporter and it harvested 30.9 million tons of the commodity in 2025 and has already exported 13 million tons.
APK-Inform agriculture consultancy said this month that the corn harvest could reach almost 32 million tons in 2026. The 2026/27 corn exportable surplus is seen at 25 million tons.
Farmers have not yet begun planting corn for the 2026 harvest, which typically starts in mid-spring. The economy ministry said last week that the area sown to corn could reach 4.42 million hectares this year.
It remains unclear to what extent farmers will be able to carry out planting, as a sharp rise in fuel prices caused by the conflict in the Gulf could potentially lead to a reduction in the sown area.
