Italy's second-largest bank's Chief Executive Andrea Orcel - once president of UBS Investment Bank - is among the candidates seen as potential successors to Sergio Ermotti, who is expected to step down as chief executive of Swiss bank UBS UBSG.S in 2027, Il Giornale reported on Wednesday. The newspaper added that several internal candidates are also being considered for the role.

Italy's third-largest bank is looking to increase seats reserved for minority shareholders as it prepares to appoint a new board, two sources said, after France's Credit Agricole CAGR.PA strengthened its ties with the Italian bank.

The car maker has started a procedure to lay-off 320 workers at its Tychy site in Poland, MF reported on Wednesday citing local unions, adding that the number of redundancies could rise to 700.

The lender said on Tuesday it had completed a 400 million euro 10-year Tier 2 subordinated bond issuance with a 4.546% coupon, attracting demand of more than twice the offer.
