WARSAW, Nov 20 - The following are news stories, press
reports and events that may affect Poland's financial markets on

DUDA
President Andrzej Duda told Sieci weekly that he is ready to
cooperate with the new parliament and government, especially in
matters related to security and foreign policy, and that he will
not veto laws that are good for Poland. He added that current
armament programs must be continued.
GOVERNMENT
Opposition leader Donald Tusk has already assembled his
government, Rzeczpospolita daily reprted. Prime Minister Mateusz
Morawiecki is also forming a new cabinet, but he has no chance
of getting a majority, the newspaper reported.
MINISTRIES
A United Surveys poll for Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily and
RMF FM shows that Poles want fewer ministries and
plenipotentiaries in the government. Moreover, 51% of
respondents support the idea of introducing income criteria in
the payment of the 800 plus child benefit. Reducing military
spending is supported by only 12% of respondents, the newspaper
reported.
COURTS
Human Rights Ombudsman Marcin Wiacek told Rzeczpospolita
daily that the starting point for changes in the judiciary
should be the depoliticisation of the appointment of the judges
in the National Council of the Judiciary. The judgments of the
Constitutional Tribunal and Strasbourg must also be implemented,
he said.
CATERING
Kuchnia Vikinga, a catering company from Białystok is
considering a debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2025, Puls
Biznesu reported.
CREOTECH INSTRUMENTS
The president of Creotech Instruments CRI1.WA , Grzegorz
Brona, told Parkiet daily that the company wants to be a leading
supplier of microsatellite technologies in the European Union.
