The tech-heavy Nasdaq and the benchmark S&P 500 opened at record highs on
Thursday as chip stocks rallied after Nvidia's upbeat revenue forecast, but
persistent worries about U.S. inflation kept market exuberance in check.  .N 
    
    At 11:42 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.66% at
39,410.49. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.25% at 5,320.03 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.81% at 16,937.258.
