U.S. stock indexes rose on Tuesday, recovering from a selloff a day earlier, as
investors weighed the risk of contagion from troubles at debt-saddled developer
China Evergrande, while awaiting the outcome of a Federal Reserve policy
meeting. .N

34,192.5. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.55% at 4,381.55 and the Nasdaq Composite
.IXIC was up 0.72% at 14,820.47.
