CureVac up on expanded patent lawsuit against Pfizer/BioNTech over mRNA tech

** U.S.-listed shares of German drugmaker CureVac NV
 CVAC.O  up 2.30% at $10.21 before the bell
    ** Co broadened ongoing patent litigations against Pfizer
Inc  PFE.N  and partner BioNTech  BNTX.O , in U.S. and Germany
over the use of mRNA technology 
    ** CVAC adds one more patent to its counterclaim against PFE
and BNTX in the U.S, covering innovations in mRNA purification
methods, taking the total to 10  
    ** CVAC also added three new intellectual property rights to
infringement lawsuit against PFE/BNTX in Germany
    ** In June 2022, CVAC filed a patent lawsuit against BNTX
with four claims over use of mRNA technology in its COVID-19
vaccine and added fifth claim in May 2023, now extended with
three new, taking the total to 8 claims
    ** U.S.-listed CAVC shares up ~66% this year, as of last
close
