July 3 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is
seen opening higher on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.7%.
* GSK: GSK GSK.L has bought from CureVac 5CV.DE ,
CVAC.O the full rights to develop and manufacture vaccine
candidates for influenza and COVID-19 that use messenger RNA
(mRNA) technology for up to 1.05 billion euros ($1.13 billion),
it said.
* VODAFONE: Britain's Vodafone VOD.L and Virgin Media O2
agreed a new network sharing agreement to extend their existing
tie-up for more than a decade, in a deal they said was subject
to approval of the merger between Vodafone and Three UK.
* KEYWORDS STUDIOS: Private equity firm EQT EQTAB.ST will
buy UK-based video game services group Keywords Studios KWS.L
in a 2.2 billion pound deal, the companies said.
* TOPPS TILES: British tile retailer Topps Tiles TPT.L
said that challenging market conditions had persisted into the
second half of the fiscal year amid weakness in the home repair
and sales segments.
* OIL: Oil prices rose after industry data showed a
bigger-than-expected draw in U.S. crude stockpiles, while the
market kept tabs on flaring tensions in the Middle East.
* GOLD: Gold prices were flat as investors awaited minutes
of the Federal Reserve's last policy meeting for fresh cues on
when the U.S. central bank will start cutting interest rates.
* METALS: Copper prices climbed with renewed hopes of U.S.
rate cuts, while dismal physical demand outlook from top
consumer China capped gains.
