Deals of the day-Mergers and acquisitions May 29 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Friday:
** International Flavors & Fragrances <IFF.N> was nearing a deal to sell its food ingredients business to private equity firm CVC Capital Partners for more than $4 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

** Private equity firms Permira and Nuo are vying to acquire MC2 Saint Barth after advancing to the second phase of the sale process for the Italian beachwear brand, two sources close to the matter said on Thursday.

** Autodesk <ADSK.O> said on Thursday it would acquire MaintainX, a maintenance and operations solutions company, for about $3.6 billion in cash.
