UK pet care stocks climb as regulator proposes vet service reforms

**  Shares of pet care companies Pets at Home Group PETSP.L up 3.52% at 223.6 p and CVS Group CVSG.L climb 6.86% to 1,496 p

** PETSP among top gainers on London's mid caps index .FTMC

** UK's competition regulator proposes sweeping reforms to country's veterinary services market, including requiring vet businesses to publish comprehensive price lists and capping prescription fees at 16 pounds

** CVSG says co was pleased to see that the regulator had refined proposals from the 28 remedies proposed in May 2025 and introduced no new remedies

** Competition and Markets Authority's final decision will be published by March 2026, with some measures potentially coming into force before end of 2026

** Up to Tuesday's close PETSP had risen 5.06% and CVSG had risen 66.67% YTD
