** Shares of medical device maker CytoSorbents CTSO.O fall
32.5% to $1.10 premarket
** Co's device aimed at reducing bleeding during surgery did
not meet the main goal of a study which was conducted on 140
patients on blood thinners undergoing heart or lung surgery
** Based on initial data analysis, the blood purification
device did not meet the main goal of reducing bleeding around
the time of surgery in the overall study population of patients
undergoing different types of cardiac procedures
** However, co says the device helped reduce bleeding
complications in patients undergoing isolated coronary artery
bypass graft surgery, which is used to treat the narrowing of
the coronary arteries
** Co expects to complete the analysis of full trial results
in the next several weeks
** Up to last close, stock up 5.2% YTD
