The following factors could affect Italian markets on Monday.

    POLITICS
    Further efforts in the negotiations by European Union
countries over the bloc's fiscal rules are needed as going back
to old targets would be "fatal" for Italy's economy, Prime
Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Friday.    
        
    DEBT
    Moody's on Friday left Italy's sovereign debt rating at
Baa3, one notch above junk, but upgraded the outlook to stable
from negative, in an unexpected boost for Prime Minister Giorgia
Meloni's government.
    
    COMPANIES
    STELLANTIS  STLAM.MI  
    United Auto Workers (UAW) members at Chrysler parent
Stellantis NV have voted to ratify a tentative record-setting
labor deal, the union's vote tracker showed on Friday.
    
    ENEL  ENEI.MI  
    Enel, the world's largest listed renewable energy developer,
is expected to announce a greater focus on its home country and
a more selective approach to green investments when its new CEO
presents his strategy on Wednesday.
    
    ASSICURAZIONI GENERALI  GASI.MI 
    Chairman Andrea Sironi called for Europe to move towards an
insurance union in an interview with Sunday's Corriere della
Sera and said it was hard for individual insurers, or even
single countries, to fill the 'protection gap' we face to cover
risks linked to natural disasters or a pandemic.
    Finance Chief Cristiano Borean expressed concerns in
comments to the Financial Times about potentially conflicting
interests when life insurance companies are owned by private
equity funds, as anxiety grows about the consequences of a shift
of ownership in the sector.
    
    AZIMUT  AZMT.MI 
    The asset manager has boosted the General Partner (GP)
business of its U.S. private markets unit by hiring Michael
Shedosky and Brian Farrell from Morgan Stanley, where they led
the GP capital solutions team. Reporting to the unit's CEO and
CO-CIO Jeffry Brown, they will select new GP investments which
entail acquiring a minority stake in a private market manager. 
    
    FASHION
    Italian fashion house Missoni has picked Rothschild as
financial adviser to explore a potential sale of the
family-owned company, two sources close to the matter said on
Friday.
